To achieve educational equity in our country, communities need visionary, effective leaders who center their work on the most marginalized students. To build these skills and support members in creating meaningful change, LEE hosted a fall session of Leading With Your Values. This program was the first part of LEE's November Workshop Series, three separate events designed to take your leadership skills to the next level.

Event Overview

In today’s climate, it’s not uncommon to feel burnt out, distracted by the latest national crisis, or disconnected from your professional or community purpose. If you’re in a position of leadership or exploring one, these circumstances make it difficult to support others, let alone yourself.

LEE’s Leading with Your Values workshop offers you tools to ground yourself and lead in a sustainable way that aligns with the impact you are aiming to achieve. In this workshop, explore the concept of liberatory leadership, learn practical advice from expert coaches, and connect with like-minded members across the country.

Who should attend this workshop?

If you’re ready to build your awareness, meet your people, and positively impact your community, you're invited to this virtual workshop.

This workshop is ideal for you if you are:

• New to LEE or haven't joined a LEE program recently
• Looking to meet other members in the network
• Interested in leveraging the LEE network to achieve greater impact as a public leader
• Eager to explore what it takes to be an effective community leader

Guest Speakers

Our workshops offers a space to meet fellow equity-minded members working toward similar goals, as well hear from leaders and coaches in our network who can support your leadership. This workshop will feature two professional coaches, Shannen Coleman Siciliano and Katy Jayne.

Katy Jayne

Katy is a Certified Coach who works with activists, leaders, and creatives looking to make a change. This change may be finding a new job, becoming more effective in your current role or learning how to overcome procrastination and avoidance. In coaching, she offers tools to help you move past your usual stopping points such as fear, doubt, burnout and overwhelmm. She supports in gaining clarity about what’s most important to you, what kind of impact you want to have, your values and your goals. 

Shannen Coleman Siciliano

Shannen is the Founder and CEO/Chief Hype Officer of Begin Within, a transformational, liberatory executive & life coaching practice that provides 1:1, group, and organizational coaching and facilitation. She hypes up leaders of color to create the life and leadership they deserve. She ensures her clients thrive in leadership & life with more ease, abundance, joy, and impact while increasing their worthiness & authenticity and reclaiming their power. Shannen brings over two decades of business and nonprofit experience as a consultant, Executive Director, coalition builder, and educator. She recently received the Peter Jennings Award for Civic Leadership for organizing over $3.5 billion to support statewide education efforts.
