Mandara Meyers is Leadership for Educational Equity’s (LEE) vice president of leadership, development and design.
Mandara Meyers is the vice president of leadership development and design at Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE). In this role, she is responsible for overseeing LEE’s leadership development work, including designing, executing and evaluating the organization’s national and regional trainings, workshops and fellowships to ensure that LEE has the greatest impact possible on members. Prior to joining LEE in 2010, Mandara spent four years as the national director of programs at the Center for Progressive Leadership, a nonprofit, nonpartisan political training institute, where she ran programs nationally and in six state offices. A former attorney, Mandara’s policy and advocacy experience includes issues ranging from immigration and gender equity to health care and access to higher education. She has also volunteered on a number of candidate- and issue-based campaigns. Mandara is a graduate of Swarthmore College and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. In recognition of her leadership and commitment to the public sector, Mandara had the honor of participating in the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs and the Rockwood Leadership Institute’s programs.
