My job is awesome.
As a Senior Advisor at LEE, I get the opportunity to meet incredible people doing amazing work on behalf of kids in communities around the country. From Nashville to New York City, Los Angeles to Louisiana, LEE members are hard at work growing a movement for educational equity that gets stronger and stronger by the day.
The stories I hear of folks coming together and organizing their communities to affect change for students and schools are inspiring -- and I wanted to let you in on what’s going on.
That’s why we’re launching a new series on the LEE blog aptly called “FraLEE’s note” (get it?). My hope is that these posts will give you a peek into the incredible work fellow LEE members are doing so every student in every community has the opportunity to attain an excellent education.
I’ve devoted my career to organizing and making change. And what I’ve learned is that a story can spark something big, something powerful, something important.
So in that spirit, it’s time to start telling some stories and hopefully through that process, continue to grow a movement for educational equity that can truly change the game.
We’ll talk soon.
