Submit Your Ideas for the Teacher Leadership Summit

LEE is excited to be a supporter of the Teach to Lead initiative. As you may know, on October 6, we joined U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan in a formal announcement of our support for the Teach to Lead initiative. In addition to announcing our support, the Secretary also announced that the Teach to Lead initiative will host three regional Teacher Leadership Summits in Boston, Denver and Louisville. These summits will bring together educators from around the regions to collaborate, problem solve and develop action plans to put teacher leadership ideas into action.

We would like to invite our members to submit an idea which may be selected for inclusion in the third Regional Teacher Leadership Summit, to be held in Boston on February 6-8, 2015. If you are interested in attending and would require financial assistance please contact Nina Scheinman for more information.

The deadline for idea submissions for the Boston Summit is 11:59 PM EST on Friday, January 2, 2015.

The hope is to attract the best teacher leadership ideas from exceptional educators like you. That’s why we are inviting YOU – the best educators we know to submit an idea. All educators are welcome to apply as individuals or as a team (teachers, principles, administrators, school board members, etc.).

As space is limited for each summit, idea submissions will be reviewed and invitations for participation with registration details will be emailed to those accepted. Please read the criteria below carefully before submitting your idea.

  • Have an actionable teacher leadership idea.
  • Be available to attend the entire summit.
  • Commit to taking implementation steps following summit participation.
