LEEgal Community

Supports for LEE member lawyers and law students seeking to build educational equity.

The injustice of educational inequity will not be solved by any one person, tactic, or arena of impact. It requires a concerted effort to change the laws and policies that have maintained the status quo for generations. Having experienced the injustice of inequity in the classroom and in their communities, many LEE members are called to serve as lawyers. As lawyers, members are litigating cases, advancing policies, advising clients on impact, serving the needs of their clients, and seeking social justice. But our work is far from done.

The LEEgal Community is for LEE member lawyers and law students seeking to use their skills to advance educational equity. By creating space for LEE member lawyers (and future lawyers) to connect, LEE will become another source for members to advance their legal careers, by building skills and sharing resources. LEE will offer members a digital platform, pro bono opportunities, and continuing legal education (CLE) credits on topics relevant to advancing educational equity, while elevating LEE member lawyer voices and opportunities.

LEE members already have a rich history of making impact in this way. Thousands of LEE member lawyers are making a difference with their legal skills.

The LEEgal Community fosters a network committed to impacting education and hastening educational equity.

Members will have opportunities to learn, support each other’s work, and make an impact.

Over time, LEE members will have opportunities to participate in a variety of supports such as:

  • A digital community
  • Continuing legal education webinars
  • Career coaching
  • Pro bono opportunities
