Ready to land your dream job in policy or advocacy?

  • Virtual Trainings

If you’re ready to find the policy and advocacy role that’s right for you, LEE’s three-part virtual series is designed to help you launch your career in the policy and advocacy sectors.

Each 90-minute training is packed with tips and strategies for landing your next job, as well as an interactive panel discussion featuring LEE members working in high-impact policy and advocacy roles.

LEE member LaToya Sales (TFA Greater Tulsa '15) participated in the How to Land a Role in Policy or Advocacy virtual training last year, and says she learned a lot — particularly from the panelists and hosts:

“This was a great series for people like me who want to work in policy but do not know where to start. I don't have a background in policy, so all the information that was shared was invaluable.”

LEE’s How to Land a Role in Policy or Advocacy virtual training series will help you:

  • Identify skills that are critical to policy and advocacy leadership, and tailor your resume to highlight the relevant policy and advocacy skills you possess
  • Develop a concrete plan to grow and leverage your network to increase your chances of landing the role you want
  • Articulate and refine your professional brand,  and design your LinkedIn profile to showcase it

“The deliverables were extremely helpful. I now know what to include on my resume for a policy position and how to think about my network,” says LaToya.

LEE members are welcome to participate in any or all three of the trainings. Those who join all three and complete the corresponding assignments will gain a competitive edge in the selection processes for the Policy & Advocacy Summer Fellowship and the Policy Advisor Fellowship

These trainings are open to LEE members only.
