Dear LEE Members:
Thank you for all that you are doing to keep yourself, your family and our communities safe and healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are writing to update you on the status of Leadership for Educational Equity’s in-person programs and other leadership supports during this crisis.
To protect the health of our members, staff and community, all LEE national and regional in-person programs and meetings of more than 10 people are postponed through the end of April. We will assess at the end of April which May and future in-person programs can continue as planned.
As you know, the Covid-19 pandemic challenges every organization and institution to plan in uncertainty, while protecting the health and safety of our communities. LEE members and staff are a network of leaders working through this crisis to serve all communities -- especially the most vulnerable.
We believe communities need your equity-minded leadership today through this crisis, and always.
LEE coaches, program and regional staff will continue supporting our members throughout this time. And we will continue to recruit for in-person leadership programs targeted for May and beyond with the expectation that they will run as health circumstances allow.
In-person convenings are just one of the many ways LEE invests in our members’ leadership. LEE’s exceptional in-person civic leadership development program experiences complement rich virtual learning, online communities and virtual coaching offerings. The Covid-19 pandemic will impact LEE’s ability to deliver in-person programs for an uncertain amount of time. However, LEE staff are committed to your continuing leadership journey and our shared mission to end the injustice of educational inequity.
The most up to date information on the status of LEE in-person programs can be found on this FAQ:
Please refer back to this FAQ. It will be updated on a weekly basis.
In most cases, questions received by LEE staff will be collected and addressed here via our public FAQ so that the entire network can benefit from responses to similar questions.
Above all, please take care of your health and safety and that of the communities you serve. We know that you will continue to lead with your values right in your community. You will hear from LEE in the coming weeks and months as we continue building opportunities to support the LEE network.
With our best wishes for your continued health & impact,
Vice President, Communication
