LEE is a 2017 LATINA Style 50 Award recipient

LEE is honored to be selected as a 2017 LATINA Style 50 Award recipient. The LATINA Style 50 Report is an annual evaluation of corporate America’s sensitivity to Latinas’ needs and goals in the workplace — identifying companies and organizations that are providing the best career opportunities for Latinas in the country. Each year, the report recognizes 50 companies whose mission of diversity and inclusion has been reflected in the way they recruit, promote, provide benefits, and create programs for the betterment of their employees. The report itself is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and this is the first year that LEE has been recognized in the report — one of the few nonprofit organizations listed.

Upon hearing the announcement, Angela Cobian, LEE staff member, said,

“As co-chair of the Latinx/@ Staff Resource Group at LEE and a Latinx/@ myself, I am honored that our organization is recognized as one of the Top 2017 Latina Style 50 Award winners. As a FamiLEEa, we celebrate and challenge ourselves internally as an organization to be an inclusive and healthy place to work. More importantly, we know our collective work has a direct impact on the lives of Latinx/@ children and families across the country.”
