Tracy-Elizabeth Clay (Secretary)
Tracy-Elizabeth Clay has served as Teach For America’s General Counsel since October 2006. In this role, Clay is responsible for meeting the legal and regulatory needs of Teach For America, including risk management and regulatory compliance. She previously served as Teach For America’s first Director of State and Local Government Relations and as the founding Executive Director of Teach For America’s Philadelphia site. Prior to her work at Teach For America, Clay was an associate with Hogan & Hartson in Washington, D.C., where she practiced in the Antitrust, Health and Privacy practice groups for four years. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, was an officer of the Law Review, and clerked for the Honorable Anne Thompson in New Jersey. She completed her undergraduate education at Stanford University with a degree in Public Policy and a concentration in Urban and Regional Development.
Emma Bloomberg
Emma is the Senior Planning Officer at the Robin Hood Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty in the five boroughs of NYC. In this role, she is responsible for assisting the organizations funded by Robin Hood with long-term planning and other strategic initiatives, managing pro bono consulting partnerships, and supporting the executive director in the development and execution of internal strategic initiatives and projects. Ms. Bloomberg is a graduate of the Harvard Business School and the Kennedy School of Government; she also holds a degree in English and a certificate in Medieval Studies from Princeton University. She currently serves on the boards of directors of Stand for Children, The Prospect Park Alliance and The Bloomberg Family Foundation, in addition to serving on the Young Lions Committee of the New York Public Library.
Mike Buman
Mike is LEE's Executive Director. Most recently, he was a Partner in the New York office of McKinsey & Company. Mike was a leader in the Financial Institutions practice focusing on Insurance and Asset Management. He has also worked with many education organizations throughout New York City. Prior to McKinsey, Mike worked at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in software development. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and New York University Stern School of Business.
Matt Kramer
Matt serves as President at Teach For America and has been responsible for overall performance, operations, and effectiveness of the organization since 2005. Prior to Teach For America, Kramer worked at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where he was a Partner in the North American Financial Institutions practice. In addition to his work with insurers and asset managers, Kramer has also served nonprofit institutions focused on K-12 education. Kramer received a B.A. in economics from Harvard University.
