Fellowships

School Board Fellows
The School Board Fellows program connects LEE members interested in gaining on-the-ground experience working for a member of a local School Board. Over the course of the fellowship, fellows will attend and observe meetings and complete a high-impact project for their respective school board member.

LEE's Public Leaders Fellowship
LEE’s Public Leadership Fellowship is a six-month program for LEE members actively pursuing high-impact roles in policy, advocacy, politics or organizing. As Public Leaders Fellows, members attend three intensive weekend workshops to further develop their leadership skills and connect with other LEE members, identify public leaders and prospective mentors, and complete a long-term leadership plan.

Current Electeds Program
The Current Electeds Program, also known as “Governing for Impact,” was created to help LEE members who are current elected officials grow their skills and be effective, impactful elected leaders for students in their communities.

Policy and Advocacy Summer Fellowship
The Policy and Advocacy Fellowship helps LEE members develop their skills as policy and advocacy leaders by gaining first-hand experience in a non-profit or government organization for an 8-week, full-time professional fellowship.

LEE Community Organizing Fellowship
LEE's Community Organizing Fellowship helps LEE members who are recent Teach For America alumni or corps members gain valuable experience through a 3 to 6 month paid fellowship working alongside an experienced community organizer.

Leadership for Educational Equity also partners with a variety of political and policy leadership development fellowships. See fellowships offered by our partners here.
