Help Teach for America Alumnus Win $10,000 to Support FREE TUTORING for At-Risk Youth
Of the thousands of ideas listed on the Ideablob website, Teach for America Alumnus, Di Yonna Mitchell, is currently in 3rd place for the online entrepreneurship competition, which may provide funds to support her free tutoring program for at-risk youth. Please vote online BEFORE Monday, September 22, 2008 at http://www.ideablob.com/ideas/2702-Free-Tutoring-for-At-Risk-Youth. If the program receives either 1st or 2nd place by September 21, it will earn a spot in the finals to compete for $10,000. The program has already secured a contract with the Georgia Department of Education to provide free tutoring to thousands of eligible youth; however, funding is still needed for books, instructional material, marketing, and many other operational supplies.

We recently secured a contract with the Georgia Department of Education that allows us to provide free tutoring to at-risk youth. We are only 1% away from making it to the finals of an online entrepreneurship competition to receive additional funding for our program!
