Harlingen CISD November School Board Meeting

The November school board meeting was a different sort of meeting.  Logistics were few - quick updates on construction, finance, and architecture projects.  There was slight discussion on the new energy plan, but new business was largely allocated to awarding Commended or Gold Performance on the TAKS to different schools, and again on the Principal's reports, a time where Harlingen CISD spotlights 1 elementary and 1 high school each meeting. This time the elementary school spotlighted was Dr. Rodriguez Elementary, one of 30 elementary schools in the country which was awarded a grant to be a NASA Explorer School - a 3 year initiative in partnership with NASA, including a $17,000 grant award.
